((WATCH>>STREAMS!)) Jets vs Commanders Live Free Online Broadcast 24 December 2023

Commanders vs Jets FREE LIVE STREAM (12/24/2023): How to Watch NFL Week 16 Online, Time, TV, Channel. The Washington Commanders, led by quarterback Sam Howell, meet the New York Jets, led by Trevor Siemian, in a regular season game on Sunday, Dec.24, 2023 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

The Commanders visit the Jets on Sunday, Dec. 24. While both are out of playoff contention, they are looking to finish the season strong and build momentum heading into 2024.

Washington (5-9) benched quarterback Sam Howell in the fourth quarter in a 28-20 loss to the Rams in Week 15. However, Commanders coach Ron Rivera said Howell will be the starter against the Jets and likely the final two games.

Howell has thrown for 3,568 yards, which ranks seventh in the NFL. He also has 19 touchdowns and a league-high 15 interceptions. Howell is having little protection from his offensive line and has been sacked 59 times this season — most in the NFL.

Here’s what you need to know:

What: NFL, Week 16

Who: Washington Commanders vs. New York Jets

When: Sunday, Dec.24, 2023

Where: MetLife Stadium

Time: 1 p.m.

S Kamren Curl. A pending free agent who before the season appeared in line for a lucrative new deal, Curl has struggled recently in coverage. Even with the Jets offense struggling, Trevor Siemian — starting in place of Zach Wilson — might be able to find gaps in Washington’s secondary.

WR Garrett Wilson. Despite instability at the quarterback position following Aaron Rodgers’ torn left Achilles tendon, Wilson has been having a solid second season after being the AP Offensive Rookie of the Year. He has 79 catches for 882 yards and three touchdowns, setting the franchise marks for receptions and yards receiving in a player’s first two seasons.

Commanders’ 32nd-ranked defense vs. Jets’ 32nd-ranked offense. It’s the worst against the worst: a defense that can’t stop anyone and has allowed a league-high 387 points and an offense that can’t get into the end zone consistently and has scored an NFL-low 13 touchdowns. Siemian will start at quarterback with Wilson not recovered from a concussion suffered last Sunday at Miami.

It seems like a bad idea relying on any Jets offensive player, especially in the fantasy playoffs, but TE Tyler Conklin could help in a pinch. Conklin has become a regular contributor in New York’s offense with at least four catches in three of the past four games with 27 targets during that span. He doesn’t have a touchdown yet, but he could be in line for a breakthrough against Washington’s porous defense.

Of the many games on Christmas Eve, one game that is completely meaningless is set to take place in the Meadowlands, as the Washington Commanders take on the New York Jets.

Both teams were hopefuls to make the playoffs at some point this season, but that obviously is no longer the case.

The Jets had all of the hype in the world, but that changed just four plays into the season, as Aaron Rodgers tore his Achilles tendon. With either Zach Wilson or Tim Boyle taking snaps, the Jets have looked like the door mat that we have grown to know them to be. Even with a stunning 30-6 win over the Houston Texans two weeks ago, losses in six of their last seven games have extended New York’s playoff drought to 13 years.

Washington was not a team that was expected to challenge for a postseason position, but wins in their first two games of the season gave fans around the nation’s capital some hope. However, the Commanders have only won twice since then, having dropped their last five games heading into the holiday. The worst part is how badly the team has been getting beaten up as of late, as three of their last five defeats have come by double digits.

This will be the first time since 2019 the two eastern teams have met, with the Commanders leading the Jets, 8-4.

Overall, the Commanders are ranked last in the NFL in points allowed (30.2) and yards allowed per game (384.5). Washington has allowed 28 or more points in five of their last six games. Meanwhile, the Commanders have scored 20 or fewer points in four of their last five games.

The Jets (5-9) were eliminated from the playoffs for the 13th straight season with a 30-0 loss to the Dolphins in Week 15.

Quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who suffered a torn Achilles he suffered in Week 1, confirmed on "The Pat McAfee Show" that he will not play again until 2024. Rodgers' status had been the subject of speculation for most of the season. His 21-day window to return to the active roster expired Wednesday.
